Ann (Groznik) Chesnic

Ann Chesnic, 97, of Canonsburg passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in her home, with her beloved children by her side.

She was born on April 14, 1918 in Aliquippa, a daughter of the late Anton and Frances Grum Groznik.

Ann was born and raised in Aliquippa.  She relocated to Canonsburg with her husband in 1942.  She was a long-time member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Canonsburg and was also a member of SNPJ Lodge 138 in Strabane.  Ann had been a housekeeper for 33 years for Attorney Howard Stevens and his family.  She had also been a housekeeper for Dr. David Bell for 10 years.

On January 8, 1942 she married her beloved husband, Max G. Chesnic, who passed away on March 28, 1995.

Surviving are her two loving sons, Thomas J. Chesnic and Gerald W. Chesnic, both of Canonsburg.  

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Tony Groznik and an infant sister.

Ann was the last of her immediate family.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation.  Services and interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg will be private.
