Charles R. "Chuck" Simpson, Sr.

     Charles R. “Chuck” Simpson Sr. age 72 of Washington formerly of Canonsburg passed away Sunday August 16, 2015 in Washington Hospital following an extended illness. He was born January 24, 1943 in Canonsburg a son of the late Howard and Frances Rossit Simpson. Mr. Simpson was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and lived most of his life in Canonsburg where he graduated from Canon-McMillan High School class of 1960. Mr. Simpson had been an appliance salesman at many stores over the years prior to his retirement he had been employed at the Home Depot. He enjoyed golfing and visiting the Casino.
     On August 24, 1963 he married Patricia Gregor who survives. Also surviving are his three daughters; Terri (Mark) Gross of Washington, Sherri (Cliff) Standard of Canonsburg and Rebecca (John) Steele of Washington, his son; Charles R. (Allison) Simpson, Jr. of Washington, a sister, June Frantz of the state of Wisconsin, seven grandchildren; Ashley, Sydney and Cody Standard, Tyler and Macy Gross, Kyle and Elizabeth Steele, a great granddaughter, Emma Standard and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents are two granddaughters; Nichole Standard and Callie Gross and two brothers Howard and Walter Simpson.
     Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Tuesday August 18, 2015 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, Lin Webb funeral director 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where departing prayers will be recited at 10:30 am Wednesday August 19, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Wednesday in St. Patrick Church 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg. Private interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Twp.
