Irma (Maramonti) Goffi

     Irma Goffi age 98 of Canonsburg passed away Tuesday January 3, 2017 in Washington Hospital with her loving daughters by her side. She was born March 13, 1918 in Marche, Italy the daughter of the late Vito and Annunziata Vitale Maramonti. Mrs. Goffi lived in Canonsburg since she arrived from Italy in 1956, where she was a faithful member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed at Hahn’s Greenhouse. Mrs. Goffi enjoyed gardening and crocheting afghans for her entire family.

     In 1938 she married Umberto Goffi who passed away October 11, 1986. Left behind to cherish her memory are her two daughters; Elvira (William) Graziani and Grace Goffi, both of Canonsburg, seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, her brother Sandro (Angioletta) Maramonti of Italy and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her parents and husband is her son Primo Goffi, a grandson Joseph Graziani and her brother, Enrico Maramonti.

     Friends are welcome from 4-7 pm Friday January 6, 2017 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where departing prayers will be recited at 9 am Saturday January 7, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am Saturday in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg, with entombment to follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to St. Patrick School, Washington City Mission or Quality Family Care, 701 Highland Avenue Canonsburg.
