Mary M. (Encandela) Mazza

     Mary M. Mazza age 94 of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Sunday June 7, 2015 in McMurray Hills Manor, Peters Twp. She was born April 21, 1921 in Canonsburg a daughter of the late Charles and Lucy Livolsi Encandela. Mrs. Mazza lived her life in Canonsburg where she had been a faithful member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and was a member of the Christian Mothers and Guild. After 33 years of employment with the former RCA plants in both Canonsburg and Meadowlands, she retired in 1983 as a group leader.
     Mrs. Mazza was a member of the RCA Retirees and a volunteer at Canonsburg General Hospital for many years. She is survived by a sister Jaqueline Gribbin and many nieces and nephews. On September 21, 1941 she married Dominick Mazza who passed away January 9, 1979. Also deceased are three sisters; Sarah Encandela, Lena DeRosa, and Josephine Mersino and two brothers; Gus and John Encandela. 
     Friends and family are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Tuesday June 9,  2015 in Salandra  Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor Lin Webb funeral director, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where departing prayers will be recited at 9:30 am Wednesday June 10, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Wednesday in St Patrick Church 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. The Christian Mothers and Guild of St. Patrick parish will recite the rosary at 2pm Tuesday in the funeral home.
