Steve T. Javornicky, Sr.

Steve T. Javornicky, Sr., 88, of Canonsburg passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born on May 24, 1927 in Canonsburg, a son of the late Andrew and Anna Tomsic Javornicky.

Steve proudly served his country during World War II with the United States Army from 1945-1947.  He was a member of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Post 191 in Canonsburg and the American Legion Post 902 in Houston.

He retired in 1989 from Cooper Industries in Canonsburg.

On December 7, 1948 he married his beloved wife, Irene Pabian Javornicky, who survives.

Also surviving are three children, several grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

At the request of the deceased, all services and interment were held privately with full military honors accorded by the VFW Post 191 Honor Guard.
