Gloria D'Amico

Gloria D’Amico age 87 of Muse passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, March 12, 2024, in her home with her beloved daughters by her side. She was born July 14, 1936, in Muse, a daughter of the late Giovani and Pasqualina Lombardozzi D’Amico. Gloria lived her entire life in Muse and was a faithful member of St. Oscar Romero Parish Holy Rosary Church. She was a graduate of Cecil High School class of 1954, and had been employed at Liberty Lumber, Architectural Metals, the Daily Notes and was a Muse Elementary and Cecil Jr. High School library aide. Gloria enjoyed reading, baking and dogs. In her younger years she loved to dance. Gloria volunteered with various committees over the years. On November 7, 1959, she married Mario R. D’Amico who passed away January 17, 2019, after 60 years together. Left behind to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Lisa (Harvey) Speer and Linda (John) Romano both of Canonsburg, two grandsons Nicholas and Michael Speer and four step grandchildren, Danielle Speer, Angels Jenkins, Carli Pitcock and Jamie Romano Peters and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. D’Amico was the last of her immediate family. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents is her son John D’Amico who died in infancy January 19, 1969, and her sister Eva Tomassetti who died October 28, 2021.

Friends and family are welcome from 2-8 pm on Monday March 18, 2024, in SALANDRA FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES, INC. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg where departing prayers will be recited at 9 am Tuesday March 19, 2024. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am in St. Oscar Romero Parish Holy Rosary Church 245 Muse – Bishop Road, Muse. Interment will follow at 11 am, in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Ceci Twp.
