Dorothy M. Matyuf

Dorothy M. Matyuf age 84 of Canonsburg passed away unexpectedly Tuesday June 19, 2018 in TownView Health and Rehabilitation Center, Canonsburg with her husband of 60 years by her side. She was born August 31, 1933 in Canonsburg the only daughter of the late Michael and Constance Michalowicz Ogrodowski. Mrs. Matyuf lived her entire life in Canonsburg and was a homemaker. She was a devoted member of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church and the Ladies Alter Society. Dorothy enjoyed baking, cooking and word search books. On May 19, 1958 she married William “Skiffy” Matyuf who survives. Also left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter Susan Lesko and her husband Jay of Chartiers Twp., her beloved granddaughter, Brittany N. Lesko and several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family.

Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Friday June 22, 2018 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor, and Darla Tripoli LFD 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where Parastas services will be held at 7pm Friday. A blessing service will be held at 9:30 am Saturday June 23, 2018 in the funeral home, followed at 10 by funeral services in St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church 601 Boon Avenue Canonsburg with the Very Reverend Joseph Oleynik, Rector officiating.
