Edward Frank Kania Obituary

Edward Frank Kania age 96 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully Friday October 4, 2019 in Manor Care, McMurray. He was born January 5, 1923 in Canonsburg a son of the late John and Mary Zovack Kania. Mr. Kania lived most of his life in Canonsburg and was a carpenter by trade employed by the former McGraw Edison Power Systems for many years. He had been a member of Sacred Heart Polish National Catholic Church in Canonsburg. Left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters Elaine McCarthy and her husband Jim and Evelyn Ellenwood and her husband David both of McMurray and his son Edward J. Kania Jr. and his wife Donna of Union City, three grandchildren, Brian (Michelle) and Darrell (Julie) Kania and Ashley (John) Bennett, six greatgrandchildren, Brooke, Bryce, Brett, Avalyn, Jeb, and Jacob. He also had two stepchildren, Jim and Beverly Silver. Ed was the last of his immediate family. Deceased in addition to his parents is his first wife Elizabeth McAvoy Kania and his second wife Theresa Silver Kania, his grandson Travis, and two brothers Walter and Arthur Kania.

At Mr. Kania’s request there will be no public visitation or services and interment will be private. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P.
