James Edward “Jimbo” Kozak age 59 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully Tuesday October 8, 2019 in Manor Care, of Peters Twp. He was born July 14, 1960 in Washington a son of Nancy J. Cannon Kozak of Canonsburg and the late Bernard J. Kozak. Mr. Kozak was a heavy mechanic and had been employed by Caterpiller in West Palm Beach Florida before returning to work at Thepit in Washington. He served with the United States Army, 1st Battalion, 6th Infantry division as a sharpshooter. Jimbo was a member the Wounded Warriors and the Labor Temple of Canonsburg. Left behind to cherish his memory, in addition to his mother, are his sister Debbie (Bernard) Chappo and three brothers, David (Dolly) Kozak, Donald (Lilly) Kozak and Jeffrey Kozak and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death in addition to his father, by his grandparents, several aunts’ uncles and a great niece
Friends and family are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Thursday October 10, 2019 and from 10:30 to 11:30am Friday October 11, 2019 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where services will be held at 11:30am Friday with pastor Tim Sweigart officiating. Interment with full military honors by the VFW Post 191 of Canonsburg and the United States Army will follow at 12:30pm in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp.
