Joseph J. Embert

Joseph J. Embert age 85 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully Monday June 11,2018 in Canonsburg General Hospital with his family by his side. He was born March 28, 1933 in Canonsburg a son of the late Joseph and Cecilia Patrina Embert. Mr. Embert lived his youth in Houston where he graduated with the Chartiers High School class of 1952. After his marriage, for 61 years he lived in Canonsburg where he was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. He served as a corporal with the United States Army in Company C 26th Infantry regiment during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post 902 in Houston. Mr. Embert was a baseball coach in both little league and Bronco League and was an active supporter of Junior Achievement. Prior to his retirement he had been a Senior Buyer for McGraw Edison Power Systems and Cooper Industries. On November 24, 1957 he married Elaine Mancini who survives. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his son Jeffrey J. Embert and his wife Shirley of Canonsburg, his daughter Jamie J. Stiles of Lawrence, four grandchildren Justin J. Stiles, Jasmine A. Confort, Makenzie and Jared Embert.

Interment will take place at the National Cemetery of the Allegheny’s Cecil Twp. at 1pm Tuesday June 19, 2018 with full military rites being accorded by the VFW Post 191 and the United states Army Honor Guards.
