Roene Severyn

Roene E. Severyn age 85 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully Monday July 16, 2018 in Paramount Senior Living in Peters Twp. with her loving family by her side. She was born July 13, 1933 in Lawrence a daughter of the late Stanley and Elizabeth Powloski Havelka. Mrs. Severyn lived most of her life in Canonsburg where she was an active member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. She was a loving mother, homemaker and volunteer with Meals on Wheels. Roene was a member of the Washington Country Club and an avid player with the Ladybirds golf league. She was a master bridge player and loved being with her family. On June 25, 1955 she married Theodore A. Severyn D.D.S. who passed away on September 26, 2008. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved children; Cyndee Kaule of Charleston South Carolina, Gregory M. (Marjorie) Severyn of Pittsburgh, Jeffrey A. Severyn and his fiancée Kathy Holtzer of Greensburg and Dr. Bradley J. Severyn of Houston, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are five brothers; Regis, Stanley, Ray, Gerald and Emanuel Havelka.

Friends and family are welcome from 2-8pm Friday July 20, 2018 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor, Darla Tripoli LFD 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where departing prayers will be recited at 9am Saturday July 21, 2018. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am Saturday in St. Patrick Church 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg followed by interment in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Twp. the family suggests memorials be made to Paramount Senior Living 240 Cedar Drive, McMurray, PA  15317.
