Stanley Butkus, Jr. Obituary

Stanley Butkus, Jr. passed away on October 10, 2018 in his home in Cecil after fighting a courageous battle with cancer in the arms of his loving wife, Jamie Jansante Butkus of 38 years who retired as a Reading Specialist from McGuffey School District.

He was born on October 7, 1943 the son of the late Stanley and Mary Butkus.

Stanley was a 1961 graduate of Chartiers Valley High School. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the Air Force. He went on to become a police officer with Scott Township where he retired as the Chief of Police after 43 years.

Since his retirement in 2008 he enjoyed traveling with his wife. Stanley is a member at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Canonsburg.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are his two children, his son Stanley Butkus and his daughter Cheryl Scala, a stepson Brian Konya, a sister Barbara Pollock, grandson Dylan and three step granddaughters, Allison, Madeline and Lila Konya and many cousins, nephews and nieces.

A family private family remembrance will be held at a future date.
