Enrica DeGenova age 96 of Muse passed away peacefully, Friday February 9, 2024, in her home. She was born July 21, 1927, in Cecil Twp., a daughter of the late Emanuel and Maria Quaresima Bernardi. Mrs. DeGenova lived most of her life in Muse, where she was a faithful member of St. Oscar Romero Parish Holy Rosary Church, its Christian Mothers and Guild and volunteered quilting blankets for babies. A graduate of Cecil High School, Enrica had worked at the former 5 and 10 cent store and Continental Can Corp., both in Canonsburg. She was a dedicated homemaker, an excellent cook and baker and loved nothing better than spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Enrica was a member of the Muse Independent Club Ladies auxiliary and the GOL Club. On June 30, 1951, she married Frank “Little Boy” DeGenova who passed away 0n January 16, 2018, after 66 years of marriage. Left behind to cherish her memory are her three beloved daughters, Linda Derrico (David) of Canonsburg, Rosemary (Eric) Stackowicz of Eighty-Four and Chris (John) Bowman of Canonsburg, grandchildren, Sarah (Ryan) Smith, Zachary (Kaitlen) Bowman, Rachel Derrico and Jared (Alex) Bowman, great grandchildren Jordyn, Logan and Kameron Smith, Kenslie, Maverick and Duke Bowman, her brother Victor Bernardi of McDonald, and many nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are her sisters Ann Walker, Bertha and Erma Quaresima, Gina Bernardi and brothers Mario and Paul Bernardi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am in Holy Rosary Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish 246 Muse-Bishop Road in Muse. Interment will follow at 12:30 pm in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Oscar Romero Parish Holy Rosary Church.
