Karen A. Jozwick age 75 of Wellsburg West Virginia formerly of Muse, passed away peacefully, Thursday morning, July 6, 2023, at Liza’s Place in Wheeling West Virginia. She was born December 6, 1947, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Alfonso J. “Dutchie” and Caroline R. LoGreco Saieva. Raised in Muse, Karen was a longtime, devoted member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish, its Christian Mothers and Guild and St. John the Evangelist Church in Wellsburg, where she lived since 1993. Karen was a graduate of Canon-McMillan Sr. High School and a member of the Muse Independent Club Ladies Auxiliary. She had been employed at the former RCA plant in Meadowlands and was in service at both Drover’s Inn and the Cracker Barrel for many years. In her spare time Karen enjoyed bingo, shopping and watching QVC. On June 28, 1975, she married Richard A. Jozwick who survives after 48 years of marriage. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved sons, Richard J. Jozwick and his wife Crystal of Wheeling West Virginia and John A. Jozwick and his wife Kerrie of Montgomery, Texas, her brother Samuel A. Saieva and his wife Betty of Houston, her sister Joann Romano of Canonsburg, three grandchildren Toby Corkran and Ezra and Elijah Jozwick, two aunts Mary Kurnik of York and Ann LoGreco of Canonsburg and several nieces and nephews. Deceased, in addition to her parents are two brothers Richard James Saieva who passed away in 1974 and David “Sy” Saieva who passed away in 2010.

Friends and family are welcome from noon until 4 and 6 – 8pm Sunday July 9, 2023, in SALANDRA FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES, INC.  Jospeh P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg (724-745-8120) where departing prayers will be recited at 9:20 am Monday, July 10, 2023. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in Holy Rosary Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish. Private family interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
