Albert J. “Albee Damm” Prince, 82, of Canonsburg passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 in McMurray Hills Manor, McMurray.
He was born on October 22, 1933 in Canonsburg, a son of the late Tomas A. and Margaret Karpy Prince.
Albee proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corps from 1955-1959.
His show business career spanned more than 50 years, including comedy team Fitzgerald and Prince, and sharing the spotlight with friend Bobby Vinton. Albee toured the world many times with the new Four Coins of Canonsburg, entertaining the U.S. troops and other audiences. His one man comedy show “Albee Damm” made many people laugh at his impersonations and antics. He had also worked as maître d’ at the Top of the Triangle Restaurant in Pittsburgh for many years.
He will surely be missed by all.
Surviving are a son, Albert J. Prince, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA; two brothers, Valentine J. Prince of Fresno, CA and James R. (Nancy) Prince of West Mifflin; several nieces and nephews; and cousin, Jean Popp.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mark; two daughters, Lynn Marie and Brenda; brother, Thomas A. Prince, Jr.; and sister, Barbara Jean Prince.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation. All services will be private.
