Andrew J. Bonazza age 90 of Washington Chartiers Twp. passed away peacefully Tuesday June 21, 2022, in his home with his family by his side. He was born June 4, 1932, in Washington, a son of the late Louis and Mary Korpus Bonazza. Mr. Bonazza lived his life in the Washington area and was a member of St. Oscar Romero Parish Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Meadowlands. Prior to his retirement Andy drove truck for Rubber Rolls for many years. Realizing that retirement wasn’t for him, he drove bus for GG&B and Schweinebraten Bus Companies. Andy was a charter member of both the Fraternal Order of Bears Club and the Meadowlands Sportsman’s Club. He enjoyed camping, woodworking and going to the beach, especially Ocean City with his family. Andy loved cookies and liked sharing them with his pet Yorkie Katie and giving candy to all the kids in the neighborhood.  On November 10, 1956, he married Irene Dorence who survives after 65 years. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved children Larry Bonazza of Meadowlands, Susan Schipps of Washington and Kenneth Bonazza and his wife Carrie of Canonsburg, three grandchildren, Zachary and Jason Bonazza and Annie Ley, his sister Roseanne Hall of Canonsburg, sisters in law Giselle Bonazza of Washington and Mary Ann Lucy of Bedford Heights, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents are his granddaughter Lauren Ashley Bonazza, a brother Louis “Jr.” Bonazza and a nephew Michael Bonazza.

Friends and family are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Thursday June 23, 2022, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where a Catholic Blessing Service will be held at 10 am Friday June 24, 2022.
