Anthony Pesco

Anthony “Tony” Pesco age 88 of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully, on Friday August 8, 2025, in Washington Hospital. He was born on January 2nd, 1937, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Modesto and Victoria Fiorentine Pesco. Mr. Pesco live his life in Canonsburg. Tony attended Canonsburg Schools until he was 17 years old and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps serving during the Korean conflict and was awarded the National Defense Medal. He received his Commonwealth Secondary School Diploma on January 18, 1966, and Electrical Fundamental Training. He also received certification in accounting from Penn Commercial College in Washington. Prior to his retirement, Tony had been employed as a contractor with RCA and General Electric. He was a faithful lifetime, member of St. Oscar Romero Parish, St. Patrick Church in Canonsburg. He was an active member of the Canonsburg Senior Citizens Center which he attended daily and played on their Dart ball team for many years. Mr. Pesco was the last of his immediate family. Deceased in addition to his parents are his siblings, brother John Pesco and sisters, Dorothy Ellis and Inez Krafchek. His life was enriched by his many friends and neighbors from the Canon House, including the staff and Canonsburg Senior Citizens Center.

Friends will be received from 10 am until 11:40 am on Monday, August 11 , 2025, at Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, inc. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg (724) 745-8120, where departing prayers will be recited at 11:45 am . A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 12:00 noon in St Oscar Romero Parish St. Patrick Church 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg.
