Bertha M. Golden

Bertha M. Golden age 97, of Canonsburg, passed away peacfull6 Sunday June 22, 2025, in Celebration Villa of Lakemont Farms in Bridgeville. She was born February 24, 1928, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late William and Pearl Loughman Dixon Sr. Bert lived her life in Canonsburg, was Episcopalian by faith and a member of St Thomas Episcopal Church. Prior to her retirement, she had been a cafeteria worker employed in the Canon McMillan School district and was previously a Bell telephone operator. On April 26, 1947, she married the love of her life and soul mate, Thomas R. Golden Jr, who passed away June 10, 2019, after 72 years of marriage. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Richard A. (Paula) Golden of Canonsburg, Keith T. (Mel) Golden of Carmichaels and Diane L. (Dan) Shento of Finleyville, six grandchildren, Eric (Kristy) Golden, Pam (Jeff) Jox, Matthew (Elizabeth) Shento, Mark (Rachel) Shento, Timothy Gooden and Dawn (James) Robben, seven great grandchildren, Jarrod and Garrett Golden, Morgan (Jox) Little, Allan Jox, Jullia Shento, Benjamin and Theodore Shento and Annabelle Robben, a daughter in law Terri (Starkey) Golden and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are her brothers William, Robert, Larry and Ronald Dixon and sisters Dolores Young, Donna Klinger and Judy Elliott.
