Cara L. Clegg Haggerty age 52 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully following an extended illness, Saturday November 18, 2017 with her loving family by her side, in Family Hospice and Palliative Care, Mt. Lebanon. She was born February 9, 1965 in New Eagle a daughter of Barbara A. Baird Clegg of Monongahela and Carl R. Clegg Jr. of Bethel Park. Mrs. Haggerty was an Episcopalian by faith and graduated from Freedom High School in Bethleham, class of 1982. She had lived in Hendersonville and Canonsburg most of her adult life. Last employed at Big Jim’s Roadhouse, she had been a beloved waitress for many years at the South Hills Village Eat N’ Park. Mrs. Haggerty enjoyed aquariums, cooking, baking and was a beautiful and skilled writer, who collected dolls and snow globes. She loved the Holidays spent with her cherished grandchildren.
On June 1, 1988 she married Roger W. Haggerty Jr. who died June 28, 2014. Left behind to fondly remember her in addition to her parents are two daughters; Samantha N. (Colton) Segelken of Monongahela and Shannon Rae Haggerty (Tyler Jankowski) of Houston, two sons; Roger W. Haggerty III (Heather Loughry) of Canonsburg and Camden Scott Haggerty of Monongahela, five siblings; Heidi (Michael) Barbarini of Hollidaysburg, Gretchen (Juan) Clegg de Lopez of Monongahela, Cameron B. (Katie) Clegg of Coraopolis, Amanda (Jennan) Gabeletto of Hollidaysburg and Clinton (Jackie) Clegg of Pittsburgh, 5 grandchildren; Bently, Arianna, Paxton and Briar Segelken and Adalyn Jankowski, a step granddaughter Piper Lynn Loughry and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome from 2-8pm Tuesday November 21, 2017 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, November 22, 2017 with Reverend Rebecca Baird Lepley officiating.
