Caroline “Carrie” Fay D’Orazio age 94 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully Thursday December 28, 2023, in her home with her family by her side. She was born July 17, 1929, in Houston (Midland), a daughter of the late Pete and Elizabeth Powell Politan. She was raised in Midland and attended schools in the Chartiers School District. Carrie was a faithful member of St. Oscar Romero Parish St. Patrick Church where she was a member of the Chrisitan Mothers and Guild. She was a volunteer with many projects at the church, especially for over 20 years, designing and making the Baptismal garments worn by hundreds of infants. Mrs. D’Orazio was known as a very talented seamstress. Carrie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker. On July 8, 1949, she married Dominick Louis “Eightball” D’Orazio, who passed away November 14, 2020, after 71 years of marriage. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Deborah (Reverend James) Levkulich of Canonsburg and Dennis (Robin) D’Orazio of Canonsburg, five beloved grandchildren, Elizabeth (Kenny) Duggar, Shelley (Stacy) Carbaugh, Maria (David) Turner, Michael (Elizabeth) Levkulich and Daniel (Tricia) D’Orazio, six precious great grandchildren, Abigail, Braden, Hunter, Leah, Mason and Nora, sisters in law Ann (the late Frank) Chuppetta and Ann “Cookie” (the late Joe) D’Orazio and many nieces and nephews. Carrie was the last of her immediate family. Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents is her siblings, Dominic Politan, Thelma Hundagen, Pete Politan, Rosella Finney, Mildred Martiscuis, Joseph Politan and Marie Polly and Lucille Tomsic.

Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg where departing prayers will be recited at 9:30 am on Friday January 5. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10 am in St Oscar Romero Parish St. Patrick Church 317 West Pike Street with her nephew Reverend Jospeh Luisi as celebrant.
