Darlene Marie Jury age 67 of Canonsburg passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, August 19, 2021. She was born August 27, 1953 in Canonsburg, a daughter of Loretta DePaoli Churney and the late John E. Churney.

Darlene was a 1971 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School, then went on to attend Robert Morris University earning a double bachelors and masters degree.  Most recently before retiring, Darlene worked as an accounting secretary for Step By Step. Darlene was a member of the Steel City Boogie Club, where she enjoyed swing dancing and the jitterbug and listening to Motown music. She was also a member of St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Church in Upper St. Clair. Darlene had a special place in her heart for animals and enjoyed visiting her family pet Maya on a weekly basis. She was also an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan and loved visiting the beach.

Left behind to cherish her memory in addition to her mother are her ex-husband Ronald Jury of Bethel Park;  three sons, Matthew (Nicole Patton) Jury of Avalon, Anthony (Julie) Jury of Canonsburg and Steven (Amanda) Jury of Cecil; grandchildren Aubrey and Bristol Jury; brother John (Joyce) Churney of Canonsburg; brother in law James Lapenta of Canonsburg and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, Darlene was preceded in death by her sister Denise Churney; grandparents Bill and Dora DePaoli and favorite uncle Bill DePaoli Jr.

Family and friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Salandra Funeral and Cremation Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor, 304 W. Pike Street, Canonsburg 724-745-8120, where a blessing service will be held at 10:00 am Monday, August 23, 2021.

Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg, PA

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Area Humane Society, 1527 PA-136, Eighty Four, PA 15330.
