David Barish, 64 of Strabane passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 30, 2107 in Townview Rehabilitation Center in Canonsburg.
He was born on June 2, 1953 in Strabane to Thomas J. and Marie Plovic Barish who preceded him in death.
He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Canonsburg.
He was employed by Wal-Mart as a stocker until his passing. He had many hobbies including collecting car magazines and he was a big fan of baseball.
He is survived by his sister Mary Lynn Hixenbaugh of Keller, Texas and his aunt and uncle Daniel and Marian Plovic of Washington, his nieces Susanne Eakin of Hartville, Ohio, and Amy Flynn of St. Peters Missouri and a nephew Ian Hixenbaugh of Pittsburgh.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew Scott Hixenbaugh.
A Blessing Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 13, 2017 at St. Patrick Cemetery Chapel, Ridge Avenue Extension, Canonsburg. Those wishing to attend the Blessing Service, please meet at the cemetery chapel. Arrangements have been entrusted to Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120.
