David A. McPeake

David Allen McPeake, age 86, of Houston passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, September 25, 2026, in his favorite recliner at home. He was born on January 26, 1940, in Canonsburg, a son of the late William and Margaret Williams McPeake. David was a graduate of Canon McMillan School class of 1947. He served in the Navy. Prior to his retirement Mr. McPeake was employed at McGraw Edison for over 30 years. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, word finds and his dog Reilly. On October 12, 1963, he married his wife Barbara for 60 years of marriage before she passed away. He is preceded in death by his son Paul McPeake. Left behind to cherish his memory are her beloved children, Brian (Leah Anne) McPeake of Washington, Pamela (Curtis) Poremski of Hawley, his five dear grandchildren, Emily (Ryan) McCartney, Adam McPeake, Jacob (Paige) Poremski, Kyle and Peter Poremski and three nieces and nephews. He was the last of her immediate family.

Friends and family are welcome from 2 pm until 7 pm on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg (724)745-8120, where departing prayers will be recited at 9:45 am Tuesday, September 29, 2026. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in St. Patrick Church Oscar Romero Parish at 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray, PA.
