Donald P. Hubsch, Sr.

Donald Hubsch Sr., age 85, of Canonsburg, PA, passed away peacefully at Allegheny Hospital following an extended illness, surrounded by his family. He was born February 13, 1941. Donald was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who took great pride in his family and the lives they built. He was a longtime member of St. Patrick–St. Oscar Romero Parish, where he faithfully served on the usher team and regularly participated in men’s group activities. His faith and commitment to service were central to his life.

Donald enjoyed working on cars, spending time with his friends, fishing, cutting grass, and especially spending time with his family. He valued hard work, friendship, and the simple pleasures of everyday life.

Surviving are his children, Dorothy Barsody; Donald Hubsch Jr. and his wife Erica; and Sandra Rhodes, fiancée of Brett Duvall. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Lenny Barsody, Matthew Barsody, Carol Ann Barsody and her husband Hunter, Adam Paul Rhodes, Fletcher Hubsch and his wife Brooke, Aesha Hubsch, and Christian Rhodes. Also remembered is his grandson, Jake Hubsch, who preceded him in death. He is also survived by one great-granddaughter, Esther.

Friends and family will be received Tuesday, March 24, from 2–4 PM and 6–8 PM in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner/supervisor, at 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, PA 15317. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 25, at 10:00 AM in St. Patrick–St. Oscar Romero Parish, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, PA 15317, with a burial at a later date.
