Doneal Marsette, age 64 of McDonald, Cecil Twp. passed away on Tuesday December 2, 2025, in his home. He was born July 13, 1961, in Newark New Jersy a son of the late Alan and Dolores Cavendish Marsette. Doneal proudly served with the United States Army, being deployed to Iraq, Kuwait among other areas as a rifleman. He received many campaign medals including the Global War on Terrorism Medal, the Air Forses Reserve Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, a Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon among many others, prior to his honorable discharge. He had been employed at Sherwood Nursery, and prior to that the former Kingdom Manor nursing home. Doneal lived most of his life in the Cecil Twp. area, was a Christian and had two cats, Tigger and Bella. On January 24, 2012, he married Christina Pettit who survives. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved children; Angela (James) Scott, James and Edward Scott, Sarah, David and Dion Marette, Sean, Cordell, Doneal and Savannah Marsette, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren his siblings; Diane Gilmore, Gwendolyn Wright-Franklin, Sharon Franklin, Herman Franklin, Elaine Franklin Marsette, Francina Frankin, Robert Taylor Franklin, Melinda Patterson Franklin Michaelo Boone Franklin and David Jacob Franklin and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is his brother Alan Marsette who passed away in 2018.

Interment with full military honors by the VFW Post 191 Honor Guard and the United States Army will be accorded at 1:30 pm on Monday December 15, 2025, in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp.
