Earlene Marie Uram, 78, of Canonsburg, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory.
Born July 19, 1948, Earlene affectionately known as “Ernie” was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was born at Canonsburg Hospital and was the daughter of Earl Paul and Rose (Moze) Barney. She graduated from the Canon-McMillan School District. On June 22, 1968, she married her best friend, Raymond George Uram, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage before his passing.
Earlene’s greatest joy was her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Her love and devotion to her family will be deeply missed.
Earlene worked at Canonsburg Hospital for many years as a nurse’s aide and later worked for Dr. Falvo as a reading specialist before retiring. She enjoyed baking and doing crossword puzzles.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Jodi (Joseph) Stumpf of Canonsburg and Shelly (Edward, deceased) Snyder of Canonsburg; her son, Raymond Uram of Cecil; her sisters, Darlene (Jerry) Dean of Canonsburg and Sandi (Bill) Benard of Houston; and her brother, Albert (Cindy, deceased) Paul of Strabane.
She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Zachary (Kelsey) Stumpf, Brittney Mason, Cody (Alyssa) Stumpf, Sarah (Brandon) Meyer, Emily Snyder, Jarrett Uram (Nicole, fiancé), and Samantha Uram; and her great-grandchildren, Riley Stoneking, Payton Harbaugh, Axel Harbaugh, Wyatt Stumpf, Zeke Stumpf, Jett Meyer, and Eliana Stumpf. Along with many nieces and nephews.
Earlene leaves behind a lifetime of love and memories that will remain in the hearts of her family forever. She is now reunited with her beloved husband and best friend, George, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
As per the family and Earlene’s wishes, services will be private with a burial at a later date in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
