Elizabeth J.  Jindra age 74 of Scott Twp.  passed away Wednesday May 29, 2024, in St. Clair Hospital. She was born July 3, 1949, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Joseph and Julia M. Doubnich Jindra. Elizabeth was raised in Houston, attended St. Patrick School and was a graduate of Chartiers Houston High School class of 1967. After attending business school, she had been employed in data processing, as a systems analysist -programmer at McGraw Edison for many years and prior to her retirement at St. Clair Hospital. A Catholic by faith, Elizabeth loved taking care of her cats, Cinderella, Cassie and Annie. She had volunteered her time, in authentic colonial garb, at the Oliver Miller Homestead in South Park. Her husband Phillip Haines passed away July 4, 2022. Left behind to cherish her memory are her sisters, Mary Jo Jindra of McDonald and Julie M. Jindra and her husband Michael Minder of Washington, her niece Amanda (Stephanie) Dino and great nephew Aiden Dino.

Friends and family are welcome from 4 until 6 pm Friday May 31, 2024, in SALANDRA FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES, INC. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg (724)745-8120 where Catholic blessing services will be held at 6 pm. Private interment will be on Saturday June 1, 2024, in Melrose Cemetery, Bridgeville.
