Harry W. Suleski age 96 of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Saturday morning September 20, 2025, in his home with his devoted family by his side. He was born January 29, 1929, in Mahwah, New Jersey a son of the late Stanley and Lottie Zembriskie Suleski. Harry lived most of his life in Canonsburg and had been a member of St. Patrick Church. He proudly served with the United States Army and received the World War II Medal and the Victory Army of Occupation Medal. Harry had been employed with American Brake Shoe now Abex Corp and a forklift operator at McGraw Edison Power Systems and Cooper Industries until its closing. Prior to his retirement in 1991, he was employed with the Peters Twp. School District in the Custodial Department and was a bus driver. As his grandson said, he was a master and purveyor of custodial arts. Harry loved working in his yard and enjoying a cold beer. He was kind and generous to everyone and made friends easily. In the past he had been a member of the Slovak Club, VFW Post 191 of Canonsburg and the American Legion Post 902 in Houston. On July 26, 1952, he married the love of his life Dorothy Andy who survives after 73 years of marriage together. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter Roberta M. Suleski (Milton Mantalis), his grandson Matt Mals and several nieces and nephews. Harry was the last of his immediate family . Deceased in addition to his parents are his brothers Anthony W. Suleski, Stanley Malinoski, Edward and Joseph Malinowski and sisters Lilly Jendrczak and Estella Woschinko. Mr. Suleski's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the AHN Hospice and care givers Karlee, Amy, Courtney, Nancy and the rest of the wonderful staff.
Private family visitation and services will be held in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg (724) 745-8120. Interment with Full Military Rites will be accorded by the VFW Post 191 Honor Guard of Canonsburg and the United States Army in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp.
