Hazel L. Staley

Hazel L. Staley age 84 of Canonsburg, formerly of Washington and Claysville, passed away peacefully, Thursday morning, Thursday February 23, 2024, in TownView Health and Rehabilitation Center, in Canonsburg. She was born December 21, 1939, a daughter of the Gatton’s. Hazel was raised on the Abercrombie farm in Claysville with her siblings and was married to the late Thomas Staley. She was a Christian and after High School she worked on the farm and prior to her retirement had been employed in housekeeping at the Hilton Hotel in Washington as well as various other hotels, for many years.  Hazel enjoyed crocheting, fishing, bingo, watching game shows and most of all spending time with her family. Left behind to cherish her memory is her son Dennis (Linda) Staley of Washington, her daughter Pamela (Troy) Staley of Washington, grandchildren Wendy and Doug Staley among other grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her husband is her longtime significant other Charles Stewart, her son Doug Staley, daughters, Kathy Toland and Patty English and her sister Mary Helmsley.
