On Wednesday, January 14,2026, Helen Telesko Senkinc passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 7, 1936, to George and Anna Telesko. On January 24, 1959, she married Conrad Senkinc of Strabane who survives. During her final days, Helen was surrounded by her loving family members. Her husband, Conrad, daughter Beth, son in law Phil Mary, grandchildren Philip, Luke and Lindsey Mary, Ashley Londino and husband Fiore (daughter Natalie), and special niece Rene Obrien and husband Bob Obrien spent the last precious moments as they always did by providing love and kindness as Helen prepared to enter the gates of heaven. Helen was employed at Salem Furnace Company in Carnegie as an executive secretary to the President of the company. A job she was very dedicated to for 28 years until the untimely passing of her boss. She also worked at Western Area Vocational School until her retirement. She was affectionately known as Baba, Grandma, Maria and Aunt Helen to her husband and close circle of family who were by her side to celebrate the holidays, good times and support her when bumps in the road appeared. Helen loved shopping, reading, bowling, polkas, sports, swans and the color pink. She would often spend all day Saturday shopping at the local malls and stores. Her swan collection was amassed over every birthday, Christmas and Mother’s Day. She read every page of the Sunday paper, especially the sports page. Helen enjoyed many books written by Danielle Steele and also read countless books to her grandchildren in their younger years. When her grandchildren had any type of event such as football, cheerleading, baseball or a softball game, Helen was in attendance cheering them on except at wrestling matches because she couldn’t bear to see someone trying to hurt her grandsons. Helen and Conrad also enjoyed wonderful vacations in Myrtle Beach. They made annual trips for over 30 years every July and would often sneak away in September as well. Although Helen was a good cook, she enjoyed going out for breakfast at Eat n Park every Sunday and enjoyed Franco’s, Napoli’s, Olive Garden and Red Lobster. Helen stayed very active and independent until these last few years when unfortunate falls and declining health started to slow her down. The family would like to thank the amazing caregivers who helped Helen for the last few years. They all provided deep compassion, care and a loving hand. The team at Gallagher Home Care and Hospice, which includes Dana, Jason and Tasha, went above and beyond to help Helen and the family. We were also blessed with our amazing care team of Darlene, Marissa, Stacy, Catherine, Jess and Laney. All of their love and care kept Helen safe and comfortable in her home as she wished. Helen was the youngest of eight children. Her last remaining sister Margaret Wyocio resides in Colorado. Preceding her in death are her siblings George, John and Mike Telesko, Ann Terpin, Liz Demsher and Julie Kern.
