Jean G. McGuire age 94, passed away peacefully and with a heart full of love, Tuesday July 25, 2023, in Country Meadows, Bridgeville. She was born January 26, 1929, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Walter and Gertrude Johnson Moeckel. Jean was the beloved wife of the late Patrick D. McGuire, and sister of the late Ruth Helwig. Left behind to cherish her memory are her four devoted children, Patricia (Robert) Hanny of Buffalo, NY, Diane Knopp of Cecil, Linda (Jeffrey) McCartney of North Strabane Twp. and James McGuire of West Mifflin, ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Jean enjoyed golfing, bike riding and trying new recipes. She resided in Sarasota, Florida with her husband from 1979 until 1993, returning to the Pittsburgh area upon Pat’s passing in 1993 to be with her family. Jean lived in Bethel Park until moving to Country Meadows in Bridgeville. She was devoted to her family, a sweet and loving mother and grandmother. Her beautiful smile and laugh will never be forgotten.
