JEANNETTE R. KELSO, 87, of Canonsburg, passed away in her home on Friday, September 15th, 2023 after a lengthy struggle with dementia. She was preceded in death by loving parents Norman and Sara Rainey, ex-husband Kenneth Kelso, and son-in-laws Jon Whittenberger and Ed Lowther. She is survived by brothers Verne (Judy) Rainey and Rodger (Claire, deceased) Rainey, children Cecelia Whittenberger, Kenneth (Julie) Kelso, and Melanie Lowther, nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
She was born and raised in Washington County, and happy to call this area her home. She worked for many years as a teller for Pittsburgh National Bank before her retirement. She was active for almost sixty years in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she enjoyed attending regularly and serving in various callings.
Some of her many interests included family gatherings, playing cards, reading scriptures, square dancing, polka music, flowers, bird watching, and bargain hunting. She will be missed by family and friends. There will be no formal visitation or services at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at a date and time TBD.
