Jean Powell Coll, 98, of McDonald passed away peacefully Saturday, April 13, 2024, in Country Meadows in Bridgeville. She was born March 3, 1926, in Muse, a daughter of the late James and Theresa Vincenty Powell. Jean graduated from Cecil High School and worked at the S&S Shoe Store in Canonsburg and Joy Manufacturing in Meadowlands. She had been a long-time member of Holy Rosary Church in Muse. Jean enjoyed nature and the outdoors. She especially loved water skiing at the Youghiogheny Dam, gardening, and feeding and watching her back yard Page: 1 birds. Jean also enjoyed art, crocheting, sewing and playing her organ. She adored animals especially her many dogs and her cat named Boy. On March 5, 1950, she married Rober Coll who passed away March 15, 2016, after 66 years of marriage. Left behind to cherish her memory is her niece, Kathleen Konechny of Canonsburg; and a nephew, Thomas (Judy) Lugan of Debary, Fla. Jean was the last of her immediate family. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents is her sister, Evelyn (Powell) Konechny who passed away January 26, 2021; and her nephew, Michael Konechny who passed away October 25, 1993.
