John “Kubie” Klobucar age 82, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 19, 2025, in his home following an extended illness, with his devoted family by his side. He was born on October 17, 1943, in Canonsburg Hospital, a son of the late Frank M. and Elizabeth L. Nahay Klobucar Jr. John was a graduate of South Fayette High school and then attended The Pittsburgh Barber School. He was Catholic by faith and lived in Canonsburg since 1975. Prior to that, he lived in Bridgeville. He had been a barber at the Pittsburgh Hilton Hotel and became very close with his many sportsmen clients, including Roberto Clemente and Pirates announcer Bob Prince. Prior to his retirement John had been employed at Clad Metals, manufacturing Wearever cookware. He enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, the casino and gambling, his dogs and cats including his cat, George. On August 27, 1966, at 11 am in St. Agnes Church, he married Florence “Flo” Hilpert who survives after 59 years of marriage. Also left behind to cherish his memory is his daughter Judy (Terri) Klobucar of Canonsburg and two nieces. John was the last of his immediate family. Deceased in addition to his parents is his brother James Klobucar.
