John Robert “Bob” Pruce

John Robert “Bob” Pruce age 81 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 3, 2025, in Allegheny General Hospital, with his devoted children by his side. He was born on January 26, 1944, in Canonsburg, a son of the late John R. and Jessie S. Define Pruce. Bob lived his life in the Canonsburg area and was a faithful member of St. Oscar Romero Parish, St. Patrick Church. He was a graduate of Canon McMillan High School class of 1961 and was a graduate of Robert Morris College. Prior to his retirement in 2000, he had been a branch manager with PNC bank for many years, and proudly served with the Air National Guard. He had also been employed at the Meadows Racetrack in the Money room. Bob enjoyed going to the casino, fishing and spending time with his grandsons. He also bowled on a Monday night bowling league for many years. On September 3, 1966, He married Laraine Stultz who passed away on September 19, 2014, after 48 years of marriage. Left behind to cherish his memory are his children, Robert Pruce DMD of Washington and Sherri Pruce of Canonsburg, his brother Frank Thomas Pruce of Carmel, Indiana, grandsons Jonathan Abbondanza, Ethan and Noah Pruce and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday, July 7, 2025, at Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg (724) 745) 8120 where departing prayers will be held at 9:40 am Tuesday, July 8. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in St. Oscar Romero Parish St. Patrick Church 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg.
