Joseph W. Lesjak

December 12, 1951 — February 14, 2023

Joseph W. Lesjak 71 of Hendersonville went to meet Jesus face to face on Tuesday February 14, 2023. He was born December 12, 1951, in Canonsburg, a son of the late John and Genevieve Salaska Lesjak. Joe was a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School class of 1970 and was Catholic by faith. He lived most of his life in Hendersonville and was a member of the Slovak Club, PNU and the Labor Temple all of Canonsburg. He proudly served with the United Starts Army in the 82nd Airborne Division. Joe was a truck driver and had been employed for the past 20 years with A&S Landscaping in Canonsburg when health problems forced him to retire in September of 2022. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time with his dog Lucy, drinking beer with his friends and family, shooting pool and singing karaoke. On October 11, 2022, after being together for 13 years he married his devoted wife Tracy Hilderbrand who survives. Also left behind are his children, Jenny and Joe Lesjak of North Carolina and several nieces and nephews. Joe was the last of his immediate family. Deceased in addition to his parents are his two brothers Cheater Lesjak Sr. and John Lesjak Sr. and his nephew C. J. Lesjak. Friends and family are welcome from 2 until 4 pm and 6 until 8 pm Monday February 20, 2023, in SALANDRA FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/ supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where a Catholic Blessing service will be held at 9:30 am Tuesday February 21, 2023. Interment with full Military Honors by the VFW Post 191 Honor Guard of Canonsburg and the United States Army will take place at 10:30 am in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp. Memorial contributions may be made in Joes memory to Allegheny Hospice, the Washington County Humane Society, the City Mission and St. Jude Research.
