Kevin Coleman

Kevin G. Coleman, 64, of Canonsburg, formerly of Wheeling WV, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep at his residence on Sunday, December 5, 2021.

He was born on November 28, 1957, to the late Raymond P. and Margaret K. (Hoffman) Coleman of Wheeling, WV. Mr. Coleman was Catholic by faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Dick Spindler, and a nephew, Steve Carter.

Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Georgia Harris Coleman; sisters, Sherry Sarcopski and twin, Kim (Rich) Carter; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Spindler,,and Jamie Lodovichetti; five nephews, Chad (Jen) Carter, Joseph Lodovichetti, Nicholas Lodovichetti, David Sarcopski and fiancé Jessica Adams, Doug (Danielle) Sarcopski; numerous great nephews and nieces.

Kevin was a 1976 graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School. He then pursued studies at West Virginia Northern Community College; Belmont Technical College; Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the US Air Force Air University and the Wharton School. Keynote speaker, author, advisor, strategist and thought leader, Kevin’s professional career focused largely on the computer industry and evolving technology; he described his work as “developing insights into the ever-changing world of tomorrow’s technology.” A Kellogg School of Management Executive Scholar, Kevin was the former Chief Strategist at Netscape; a Senior Fellow and Strategic Management Consultant with the Technolytics Institute – an executive think-tank; a past manager at Deloitte & Touche. He continued his consulting work to numerous firms and organizations until his death. Kevin also served as a volunteer fireman and Chief with the Big Wheeling Creek Volunteer Fire Department among other departments and EMT for over ten years; he was recognized as an Instructor of the Year, promoted to an officer and chief; and received the ‘Star of Life’ award from Ohio Valley Hospital; he continued his volunteer work with the Civil Air Patrol.

Visitation will be held at the Salandra Funeral Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor, Erin E. Jones LFD 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg 724-745-8120 on Friday, December 10, from 4:00-7:00 where services will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 10am with Parochial Vicar Thomas Gillespie officiating. The family asks that masks be required for unvaccinated persons. Entombment will follow in Woodruff Memorial Park, North Strabane Twp,
