Margaret “Aunt Marge” Popiolkowski of Canonsburg passed away peacefully Monday January 11, 2021. She was born in Canonsburg a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Toth Davadick. Marge was a life member of the St. Patrick Worship Site of St. Oscar Romero Parish and a graduate of Canonsburg High School. Prior to her retirement she had been employed for many years at the RCA plant in Canonsburg and Meadowlands as an inspector and group leader. She was an avid Pirates and Steelers fan and enjoyed word search and was affectionately known to many as Aunt Marge.
Left behind to Cherish her memory is her nephew Edward Hornak and his wife Cathy with whom she made her home, niece Denise (Alan) Weisman of North Strabane Twp., nephew Alan Davadik of South Strabane, great nieces and nephews and several nieces and nephews in the Popiolkowski family. Marge was the last of her immediate family. Deceased in addition to her parents is her husband Edward S. Popiolkowski who passed away October 30, 1985, her sister Helen Hornak and brothers Andrew Davadick and Steve Davadik.
Friends and family are welcome from 4-6pm Wednesday January 13, 2021 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg where departing prayers will be recited at 11:40 am Thursday January 14, 2021. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Thursday in the St. Patrick Worship Site of St. Oscar Romero Parish 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg. Interment will follow in Patrick Cemetery. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic face coverings and social distancing are required in the funeral home and in church.
