Paul Buehler

April 8, 1936 — May 4, 2024

Paul Buehler age 88 of Houston, passed away peacefully, Saturday May 4, 2024, in his home, with his devote wife by his side. He was born April 8, 1936, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Eugene and Helen Albrecht Buehler. Mr. Buehler lived in Houston for the past 10 years and was a member of St Oscar Romero Parish St. Patrick Church in Canonsburg, where he had been a lector. He proudly served with the United States Army. Mr. Buehler was a graduate of Crafton High School and Duquesne University. Prior to his retirement he had been employed as a banker at Well Fargo bank. Paul was a volunteer at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies and enjoyed singing with the Keystone Barbershop Chorus and being with his pride and joys, Springer Spaniels, Duke and formerly Tuggy. Paul liked to play most card games….to WIN! He also previously had three Dachshunds, Heinrich, Adolph and Wolfgang. On May 9, 2014, he married Margaret Homer who survives. Also left to cherish his memory are his daughter Gretchen Buehler of Pittsburgh, his son Craige (Beth) Buehler of Lehigh Acres, Florida, 6 grandchildren, Logan, Liam and Blake Buehler and Cameron, Hunter and Paige Humphries, 5 great grandchildren, two sisters Carol Thomas and her husband Larry of Collier Twp.  and Mary Jane Martin of Florida and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death is his first wife Frances Joan Buehler who passed away November 5, 2012, and two sisters Shirley Depp and Patricia Loney and his son in law Carl Humphreys.

Friends and family are welcome from 5 -8pm Tuesday May 7, 2024, in SALANDRA FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES, INC. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg (724) 745-8120, where departing prayers will be recited at 10:30 am Wednesday May 8.2024.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am in St. Oscar Romero Parish, St. Patrick Church 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg. Interment with full Military Honors by the VFW Post 191 of Canonsburg Honor Guard and the United States Army will follow   at 12:30 pm in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp.
