Ralph W. Gillium Jr. age 79 of Houston passed away peacefully. Wednesday, February 12, 2026, in St. Clair Hospital, Mt. Lebanon Twp. He was born December 6, 1946, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Ralph W. and Mary Counahan Gillium Sr. Mr. Gillum lived most of his life in the Pittsburgh area and was Lutheran by faith. He was a graduate of Peabody High School and Penn State University, class of 1971. Prior to his retirement Ralph had been employed with PennDOT District 11 where he served as Human Resources Director. He enjoyed playing golf, cars, the Pittsburgh Steelers and his Alma Mater the Penn State Nittany Lions. On May 24, 1992, he married Eileen Collett, who passed away April 17, 2006. Left behind to cherish his memory are his stepchildren Ronald W. Wuenstel Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Houston and Stacey Lee Swartz and her husband John of Greensburg, his grandchildren Andrew (Brittany) Wuenstel and Anthony Wuenstel (Haley Smith), Nicole (Blake) Stoner, Alexandra Swartz and Ian (Allison) Swartz, great grandchildren Sadie and Savannah Stoner and a nephew William Brady O’Neil Jr., and his partner Johnni Lynn Psomas, grand niece and nephew, Jennifer Megan O’Neil and William Brady O’Neil III. Mr. Gillium was the last of his immediate family. Deceased in addition to his wife and parents are his sisters, Margaret Ann Short O’Neil and her husband William Brady O’Neil Sr., Doris Gillium LeDonne and his brother James Gillium.

Family and friends are welcome from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm, the time of services, on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg (724) 745-8120. Following the 12:30 services, interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Twp.
