Samuel A. Tatano 82 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully Thursday, July 6, 2023, in Premier Washington County Health Center. He was born January 13, 1941, in Muse, a son of the late Frank and Rose Saieva Tatano. Mr. Tatano lived his entire life in the Muse, Canonsburg area, was Catholic and attended Cecil High School. He was employed at the former Forbes Steel Corp. until its closing. He then was employed by his brothers at refrigeration Care, Inc and Tatano Wire and Steel. Sam was a member of the Muse Independent Club and a vintage car enthusiast. In October of 1959, he married Patricia L. Haley who survives after 63 years of marriage. Also left behind are his memory are his beloved children, Theresa (Randy) Lenhart, of Canonsburg, Cindy Tatano of Muse, Tony (Leah) Tatano, Gino (Beth Ann) Tatano and John (Julie) Tatano, all of Canonsburg, Jason (Jen) Tatano of Uniontown and Brooke (Adam) Ferragonio of Cecil Twp., his brother Charles A. Tatano of Muse his sister Mary Leichty of Canonsburg, fourteen grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and loved by many nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents Sam is preceded in death by his granddaughter Brianna Orbin, four sisters, Rosie Tatano, Sara Dohanich, Connie Terling and Lillie Gasbarini and three brothers, Patsy, Alfonso and Angelo Tatano.
Honoring Sam’s request there will be no public visitation or services and interment will be private.
