Sandra Mae (Burgess) Dudley

June 3, 1939 — October 4, 2022

Sandra Mae (Burgess) Dudley, affectionately known as “Lady Cat”, 83 of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2022, after a long full life.  She reunites with her husband of 35+ years, Clarence Dudley, who passed away Saturday July 9, 2022, into the afterlife.

Born June 3, 1939, to parents, the late Lloyd and Viola Burgess, Sandy, as everyone knew her, grew up and lived in the Washington County area most of her life.  From graduate of Wash High to Director of the 911 Center to her ultimate retirement as Customer Service Manager at Canonsburg Shop n Save, Sandy touched the lives of many people around her.   She will surely be missed.

Sandy enjoyed sunbathing with her dog Stanley, playing the lotto and card games, collecting knickknacks, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, and playing Facebook games like THUG LIFE (she didn’t choose the thug life; the thug life chose her).  Let’s not forget her screaming at the TV during Pittsburgh Steeler games.  In addition, she also loved to cook, especially for family, her fudge recipe is highly sought after. We are pretty sure she took it to the grave.  Sorry y’all.

Survived are her siblings; Carolyn (Al) Smith of Colorado, Jean (Fred) Anderson of Washington, PA , and Diana Burgess, of Washington State, her children,  Kim (Byron) Kelley of Washington, PA, Boyres Williams of Canonsburg, PA, Jayia Williams of Austin, TX, and Nathanel (Rocio) Williams of Austin TX, a grandson she raised as her own.  In addition, Sandy has a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  There’s too many of yinz.

Proceeded in death are her sister Vicky (Gordon) Miller, brother Stanley (Ann) Burgess, and daughters Denise (John) Standard and Andria Williams.

At Mrs. Dudley’s request there will be no public visitation and services. Private family visitation was held at Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120. Interment is in Forest Lawn Gardens McMurray with her husband.
