Stella M. Badia age 93 of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully, Saturday, August 31, 2024, in her home with her devoted daughter by her side. She was born December 27, 1930, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late John and Helen Zawatski Yanik. Stella lived her life in Canonsburg where she was a graduate of Canonsburg High School and a faithful member of St. Oscar Romero Parish St. Patrick Church. She had been a member of the Christian Mothers and Guild and had a deep devotion for St. Anthony. Until her retirement in 1996 she ran G F Cleaners, along with her husband for many years. Stella enjoyed cooking, bingo and reading, especially scriptures, but most of all enjoyed time with her family for whom she dedicated her life. She was caring and loving to her family and everyone she knew. On September 13, 1952, she married Amil L. Badia who passed away January 12, 1995, after 43 years of marriage. Left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved children, Janet L. Badia with whom she made her home and Edward M. Badia of Muse, her granddaughter Captain Alexandra Badia MD, Untied States Army, two great grandchildren, Samuel and Clover, her brother John (Jill) Yanik and nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents, is her son Thomas A. Badia who passed away July 18, 2018, and her sister Florence Kacvinski.

Friends and family are welcome from 10 am until 11 am Wednesday morning, September 4, 2024, in St Oscar Romero Parish, St. Patrick Church 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am. Private interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into the care of SALANDRA FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES, INC. Joseph P.
