Wayne DelVecchio age 79 of Canonsburg passed away Monday July 16, 2018 in St. Claire Memorial Hospital, Mt. Lebanon. He was born July 18, 1938 in Canonsburg a son of the late Clyde and Stella Picio DelVecchio. He lived his life in Canonsburg his entire life and was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. He served with the United States Army. Prior to his retirement, after 35 years, Mr. DelVecchio had been employed as a C.T. Winder at the former McGraw Edison and Cooper Industries. He had been a 30-year member of the Washington Country Club and enjoyed chess and bowling in his younger days. Wayne enjoyed dancing and he and along with his wife was a member of the Steel City Boogie Club of Pittsburgh. He was just a quiet and unassuming man who loved spending time with his wife, children and great grandchildren. On February 6, 1960 he married Diane Derrico who survives after 58 years of marriage. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his two daughters; Dayna Spence and Susan Reed and her husband William all of Canonsburg, his sister Patty Leposky and her husband Ray of Washington, four grandchildren Anthony and Emily Reed and Ryan and Steven Spence, very special cousins and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents is his brother Dennis DelVecchio.

Salandra LFD owner/supervisor, Darla Tripoli LFD 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where departing prayers will be recited at 9:30 am Friday July 20, 2018 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Patrick Church 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg.
