William G. McGowan

William George “Billy” McGowan age 67 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully, Saturday evening, July 26, 2025, in his home with his family by his side. He was born September 13, 1957, in Allegheny County, a son of the late Kenneth John James and Carole Ann Jenkins McGowan. Billy lived for the past 7 years in Canonsburg and most of his life in the Waynesburg area. He was a Spiritual person who loved spending time with his family, fishing, vacations, inventing, gardening, designing and taking care of his flower beds and fishpond. He liked old television shows and ELTON JOHN. During his working life Billy was an electrician for 42 years and a member of IBEW Local # 5 for 32 years. Prior to his retirement he had been employed with Hilltop Energy Center and Lighthouse Electric. In March of 2020 he married Paricia Larkin, who he leaves behind. Also left to cherish his memory are his children, Ben, Leeza and Justin McGowan, his stepchildren, Jon LaVecchia, Hunter Holmes, Brandon and Pandora Thompson, his brother and sister Tom and Patty McGowan and several nieces and nephews.
