William “Bill” Bigler, 67, of Washington passed away peacefully Wednesday December 20, 2023, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital after a short but intense battle with ALS.
He was born May 13, 1956 in Washington, PA. He was a son of Arthur Gordon and Virginia Helen Stevens Bigler. In 1974 he graduated from Trinity High School. He then attended the Millwright apprenticeship program and was a 49 year member of Millwright Local Union #2235. He had been looking forward to getting his 50 year pin.
He is preceded in death by his parents as well as his former wife, Carol Hallam Bigler. He leaves behind his daughters Alison (Andrew) and Ariana (Krystina). Also left behind are his brother Arthur (Daryl) and sister Rose (Herbert), granddaughters Eloise and Claire, along with several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on 10G at UPMC Presbyterian who cared for him and allowed him a dignified death.
Friends and family are welcome from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm Tuesday December 26th, 2023 at Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304West Pike Street Canonsburg, where services will be held at 10am on Wednesday, December 27th. Interment will be private.
