Angela D. Abbott

Angela D. Abbott age 49 of Southpointe passed away peacefully Tuesday March 5, 2024, in Ruby Memorial Hospital Morgantown WV. She was born January 6, 1975, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of William and Mary Ann Tasz Gilbert of Washington. Angela was a graduate of Burgettstown High School class of 1992 and earned a Bachelor of Hospitality degree at Johnson and Wales University in 1996. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and homemaker who most enjoyed spending time with her family. Angela liked to follow her children’s sporting events, traveling and she had a special love for the beach. She was a faithful member of St. Oscar Romero Parish St. Patrick Church and has lived in Southpointe for the past nine years. On December 12, 1998, she married Jeffrey M. Abbott, who she leaves behind after 25 years of marriage. Also left to cherish her memory in addition to her husband and parents are her three beloved children, Alexis Abbott, Anthony M. Abbott and Austin J. Abbott. Her sister Alissa (Brad) Durko of Coraopolis and her brother Adam (Rachel) Gilbert of Sewickley and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are welcome from 2 pm until 8 pm Thursday March 7, 2024, in SALANDRA FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES, INC. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg (724) 745-8120 where departing prayers will be recited at 9:30 am Friday March 8, 2024. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am at St. Oscar Romero Parish St. Patrick worship site 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg, with interment to follow.   In lieu of flowers, memorials in Angelas name are suggested to be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at https://www.lls.org.
