Joseph Durante

Joseph Durante age 81 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully, Friday, February 2, 2024, at home with his family by his side. He was born August 27, 1942, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Raymond and Elizabeth Bagalay Durante. Joe lived in Canonsburg and was employed as a truck driver for Myers. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed fishing, watching his Clint Eastwood movies, and was an excellent handyman. He is now reunited with his fur-friend “Speck”, his dog. Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of 39 years, Betty Lou Durante, his daughter, Denise (Anthony) Scolieri and their children, Lance, Gionna and Adrianna, a stepson Ralph Abbundanza (Noemi Mercado) and his daughter Isabella, a stepdaughter Raquel Gilpin and her children Aaron and Aaliyah, a sister Barbara Gieraltowski of Florida and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents is his brother Robert Durante.
