Minnie Suska

Minnie Suska age 94 of McMurray, Passed away peacefully Sunday, June 20, 2021 in her home with her devoted husband by her side. She was born October 6, 1926 in Canonsburg a daughter of the late Valentino and Jennie Caggese Scarsellato.

Minnie was a graduate of Canonsburg High School class of 1945 and studied at Penn Commercial business school for 2 years. She lived in the Canonsburg, McMurray area her entire life and was a faithful member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Canonsburg.

Minnie was a devoted homemaker, wife and mother. On June 10, 1950, she married Frank Suska who survives after 71 years of marriage. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved children, two sons, James F. (Alice) Suska of West Milford N.J. and Mark F. (Judy) Suska, of West Chester, PA. Two daughters Patricia A. (Thomas) Coles of Trafford and Karen J. (Rocco) Prologo of Oakdale, brother Val (Jean) Scarsellato of Canonsburg, nine grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her parents are two brothers, Sebastian (Butch) and Carl Scarsellato.

Friends and family are welcome from 4 -8 pm Friday June 25, 2021 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where departing prayers will be recited at 9:30 am Saturday, June 26, 2021. Devine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 am in St. Michael Byzantine Church with Reverend Joseph Raptosh as celebrant.

Entombment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Twp. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested for St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church building fund.
