Patricia S. “PJ” Rolek

Patricia S. “PJ” Rolek age 77 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully Saturday, July 2, 2022, in Amber House Assisted Living in Mount Pleasant. She was born December 15, 1944, in Southview a daughter of the late William Charles and Anna Marie Malinak Duke. Mrs. Rolek was a graduate of Ft. Cherry High School but lived most of her life in the Canonsburg area and was a member of St. Oscar Romero Parish, St. Patrick Church. She had been employed for many years at the former Western Center, retiring as a supervisor. She had been employed parttime by ARC and was a dedicated advocate for special need and rights for the mentally handicapped. PJ enjoyed baking and everyone loved her cookies. Left behind to cherish her memory is her beloved husband Joseph L. Rolek, her devoted children, Joseph R. Rolek and his wife Debra of Jeanette and Jody M. Rolek of Canonsburg her granddaughter Morgan C. Rolek, her sister Evelyn Logar of Washington and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her parents is her brother John Duke and four sisters Elizabeth Ylilt, Barbara Purdy, Anna Marie Hete and Dorothy Mae Markle.

Friends and relatives are welcome form 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday July 6,2022 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner /supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg where departing prayers will begin at 8:10 am Thursday July 7,2022. Am Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 8:30 am in St Oscar Romero Parish St. Patrick Church 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg.
